PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The department of product development employs 18 experienced development engineers. The daily tasks of the development engineers include the development of safety belts, their components and assemblies for passenger cars and trucks, and also testing. Recently, our customer base was supplemented by bus manufacturers who, due to the changes in requirements, must equip new modern vehicles with safety belts, the design of which differs from the one we are used to see.

The development engineers have also participated in the designing of more sophisticated car details such as the doorhandle inside passenger compartment

and the adapter of switch levers attached to the steering wheel column

The software used include CATIA V4 and V5, SolidEdge, Unigraphics NX with analysis modules Scenario for Motion and Scenario for Structures. The analysis of plastic details is done by using MouldFlow Mould Adviser.

Before starting to produce tools, the functionality of the product is verified by using comprehensive prototype test programmes. Only then is the new product approved.
